Students Explore Career Opportunities at Junior Achievement Inspire Career Expo

A group of approximately 50 Stroudsburg Area School District students attended Junior Achievement (JA) Inspire, one of the largest career exploration events in Northeast Pennsylvania. The event, held in Wilkes-Barre, brought together nearly 100 businesses, organizations, and industry professionals from across the region, including representatives from Monroe County, Luzerne County, Lackawanna County, and surrounding communities.

The career expo provided students with a unique opportunity to explore a wide variety of career pathways while interacting directly with professionals from numerous industries. Throughout the day, students learned about careers in media and communications, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, public service, business, technology, and many other high-demand fields.

Students participated in a variety of hands-on experiences designed to showcase real-world careers and workplace skills. Some students explored broadcasting and media careers through interactive weather and green-screen demonstrations, while others learned about public safety and responsible decision-making through impairment simulation activities. Additional exhibits provided opportunities to engage with professionals in manufacturing, skilled trades, and construction industries, allowing students to experience firsthand the tools, technology, and skills used in today’s workforce.
The Junior Achievement (JA) Inspire event serves as an important career readiness experience by helping students connect their interests and talents with future educational and career opportunities. Through direct interaction with employers and industry leaders, students gain valuable insight into the many pathways available after high school.
Stroudsburg Area School District remains committed to providing meaningful career exploration opportunities that help students make informed decisions about their futures. The district extends its appreciation to Junior Achievement and the many participating businesses and organizations that helped make this valuable experience possible for our students.
