We are proud to share outstanding news regarding our Stroudsburg Area School District students who participated in the Geisinger Medical Physicians and Nursing Mentorship Program.
Our 46 sophomores, juniors, and seniors demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and academic excellence throughout the program. Their hard work culminated in final research poster presentations that truly impressed both mentors and evaluators.

We are especially proud to recognize the following students for earning top honors:

Research Project: Rehabilitation on Stroke Patients

– 1st Place: Casey O’Donnell

Out of six total awards (two first-place, two second-place, and two third-place recognitions), Stroudsburg students earned four of the top six placements, including both first-place awards. Notably, no other participating district earned a first-place finish.

Mentors from the program expressed how impressed they were with the caliber of work presented, noting that many of our students’ projects reflected college-level and even advanced, doctoral-level research quality.

Our students competed against five other school districts, making this achievement even more significant. Their performance is a testament not only to their individual commitment, but also to the strength of our academic programs and support systems.

We could not be more proud of these students for representing Stroudsburg with such excellence, professionalism, and integrity.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and programs.
